This No Logs Policy ("Policy") outlines Backyard Bandwidth’s strict commitment to not collecting, storing, or retaining persistent logs of any user activity across our VPN, VPS, and S3 storage services. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that we do not store logs and that we cannot provide data that does not exist in response to law enforcement requests.

1. No Activity Logging Commitment

Backyard Bandwidth does not store any persistent logs of user activity. Specifically:

• We do not store or retain VPN traffic logs.
• We do not log or track which websites users visit.
• We do not log VPN session durations or browsing history.
• We do not log VPS server activity.
• We do not maintain logs of S3 storage access or file activity.

2. Operational Session Data (Transparency Statement)

Our VPN servers, like all network services, must temporarily maintain minimal connection state (e.g., current session IP address, routing tables, handshake status) in volatile memory only to keep your connection active. This data:

• Exists solely in RAM while the connection is active.
• Is never written to disk under any circumstances.
• Contains no browsing history, traffic content, or file access data.
• Is automatically and irreversibly erased from memory upon disconnection.

3. Data Shredding and Permanent Deletion

• Once a VPS service is terminated, all associated data is forensically shredded and permanently deleted.
• VPN session data is never stored on disk and ceases to exist the moment the session ends.
• There are no persistent log files stored on VPN, VPS, or S3 storage servers.

4. Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance

Backyard Bandwidth operates under United States jurisdiction and complies with all applicable laws. Our infrastructure design means we cannot provide:

• VPN usage logs
• Browsing history
• VPN session timestamps after disconnection
• Original or assigned IP addresses after the session ends
• VPS activity logs
• S3 storage activity logs

We will cooperate with legally binding requests only to the extent we are technically and physically capable. If served with a valid request, our response will be limited to confirming that we have no persistent logs to provide.

5. No Backups or Shadow Logging

Backyard Bandwidth does not maintain backups of any operational session data and does not engage in hidden or “shadow” logging. Our systems are engineered so that operational data never persists beyond the active session.

6. No Third-Party Tracking

We do not use third-party tracking, analytics, or logging services. Backyard Bandwidth does not partner with data brokers, advertising agencies, or analytics platforms that collect, share, or store user data.

7. Acceptance of No Logs Policy

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

Backyard Bandwidth may update this No Logs Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website.
